Born and raised in the greater Philadelphia area, Dj Monster began perfecting his craft at the age of 15.
In 2003, with crates in hand, he moved to New York City to attend college and quickly landed a job at the world famous Fat Beats Records. In no time, Monster began spinning at all the Fat Beats parties, in-store events and concerts. In 2006, with a few colleagues, Monster started Fat Beats Radio at the downtown staple EVR (East Village Radio). With his ear for music and sharp dj skills, Fat Beats Radio quickly shot to the #1 rated show on the station, surpassing powerhouses Mark Ronson and Fader Magazine.
In 2011, Monster landed a weekly residency at the largest night club in New York City, Webster Hall. There he spent 2 years every Thursday night playing to a packed house every week. Soon after, he landed weekly residencies at downtown clubs like Sutra, The Westway and The Jane Hotel, along with djing countless other venues and events throughout the city.
Dj Monster has spun multiple times over seas in Moscow and all throughout the Caribbean. He has shared the turntables with icons like Dj Premier, Just Blaze, Stretch Armstrong, J-Rocc and Large Professor to name few.
Any style, any genre, any club, any task is by far achievable for Dj Monster, making him a standout in the New York DJ scene.
